Automotive
In response to the growing demand for the localization of high-tech manufacturing in Russia, Macro EMS is actively developing its competencies to serve customers in the automotive industry. We understand that electronic components for vehicles require a specialized approach – from design to delivery – demanding the highest levels of reliability, process reproducibility, and stringent quality management at every stage.
Quality Management System: Our Path to International Standards
Macro EMS is already certified to ISO 9001:2015, the foundational standard upon which an automotive supplier’s quality system is built. The company is now in an active phase of preparation for certification to the IATF 16949 international standard, which is a mandatory requirement for suppliers to the automotive industry.
As part of this preparation, we are implementing the key automotive industry tools, known as the Core Tools:
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
End-to-End Traceability: The Foundation of Transparency and Reliability
At Macro EMS, we have implemented full end-to-end traceability across the entire manufacturing cycle. Every single product can be uniquely identified by:
- Component batch (including certificates and supplier data)
- Date and production shift
- Specific operator and equipment used
- Results from all inspection stages – visual, AOI, X-ray, and functional testing
This comprehensive approach allows us to:
- Instantly localize any potential issue upon a customer’s request
- Minimize the scope of any recall in the event of a non-conformance
- Ensure complete transparency for audits against IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards
Our traceability system is integrated into our production platform and can be customized to meet a specific client’s requirements, including data transfer to their ERP/MES systems.

A Technological Platform for Automotive Electronics
Our production facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery that meets the stringent requirements for manufacturing high-reliability electronics:
- An automated SMT line with an Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system
- An X-ray inspection system for verifying solder joints on BGA, QFN, and other complex components
- Dry storage cabinets for moisture-sensitive devices (MSD)
- An environmental test chamber compliant with IEC 60068 and ISO 16750 standards, capable of performing:
- Thermal shock testing (from -55°C to +155°C)
- Temperature and humidity cycling
- Vibration resistance testing (as agreed with the client)
We are ready to work with Automotive Grade components certified to AEC-Q100/101/200 standards and provide them with specialized incoming inspection and storage protocols.

Experience in Adjacent Industries: A Strong Foundation for the Automotive Sector
While Macro EMS has not yet executed projects directly for the automotive market, our expertise has been honed in sectors with comparable or even more stringent requirements:
- Next-generation server boards: High component density, strict thermal management, and fail-safety requirements.
- Industrial automation: Operation under conditions of high vibration, extreme temperature fluctuations, and harsh environments.
- Telecommunications equipment: Demands for continuous operation, high availability, and strict parameter control.
This experience enables us to quickly adapt our processes to the specific needs of automotive electronics and ensure full compliance with customer requirements.
Ready for Audit and Seamless Partner Integration
Macro EMS is open to preliminary audits based on the VDA 6.3 methodology and is ready to agree on a step-by-step plan with our clients to implement their specific requirements – from Control Plans to integration into their supply chain management systems.
Our engineering and quality specialists are undergoing targeted training on the IATF 16949 standard and the Core Tools to ensure effective and professional collaboration with our customers' technical teams.
